This magazine was created for Sixten Abbot’s Publication Design class during the spring of 2019.
This section includes the table of contents and six pages of briefs. Knowing I was going to incorporate many different art styles, I had to figure out a way to display them all together without clashing with each other.
It was required for each student to create a photo essay. We had to include a minimum of 12 photos across 6-8 pages of the magazine.
This is the Main focus of the magazine, and also needed to be represented on the cover along with a teaser. This section includes in introductory spread, and then six pages worth of content.
The secondary articles could have some alternative story formats. I decided that utilizing the spreads with the imagery from the show was going to be the most effective to ,make them visually appealing. It also unified the aesthetic of this portion of the magazine.
These two pages comest the end of the magazine. The colophon expresses some of the design elements and the sources for the content that was included in the magazine. The rating shot features a reader submitted fan art and explains when each issue is released.
